Is this something to worry about?

Restricting freedom of speech and speaking out against Obama.
I know we need to support our elected officials but if this is how teachers and mentors are treating students who are trying to get their fellow students to think and openly discuss what's happening to them and their future... i'm a little nervous.

PS. again props to MM

Where is the love?

I know that Proposition 8 in California is a very controversial topic. I personally believe in Prop 8. I also believe that it has gone way too far. I think that this would not have been such a big deal if there had not been the issues that existed in Massachusetts. The fact that people's freedom of how to teach and raise their kids were infringed upon really turned this into a big issue. Where people were scared of what might be forced upon them and their beliefs.
I believe that the family consists of a man, a woman, and children. I believe that the family is central to our happiness and is the basic unit of our wonderful country. When the family fails is when I think that our country will cease to be great.
We need to protect our country and all the rights that have been granted us by our founding fathers. They worked hard to provide us the freedoms that we have today. I do not believe that the constitution would have been possible if it were not for inspiration from God. The constitution is an inspired document based on faith and love.
I believe that we need to protect the family and the freedoms that this great nation was founded on. This nation was founded on religious beliefs and a profound trust in God. I strongly believe that everyone has the right to worship how, who, or what they may. I believe in equal rights and that people deserve to be happy. I know that a lot of people would say that my support for Prop 8 and my belief in equal rights are in conflict. I don't see it as a conflict because I believe that I am still protecting their rights in freedom of religion and to live as they choose.
California has very strict family laws that protect civil unions and grant them all the privileges given to married couples. These laws protect those that want to commit to each other whether straight or homosexual. In my opinion the term 'gay marriage' gives the air of a political stunt and drastically cheapens the meaning of their commitment. I would not be as comfortable supporting Prop 8 if it were not for the family laws that are already in place to protect those that truly love and are committed to each other.

I completely understand why there are very emotional responses on both sides of this issue. What I cannot understand is the violence that has happened. People demanding respect and "tolerance" are the first to take it away from others.
Michelle Malkin again has an amazing pulse on what is going on. Here are some links:

If the people want to change it, then please by all means work within the law to make the changes. Please stop the violence.

That's what it sounds like to me.

what the heck is going on with tolerance that everyone is asking for?

Ruth Youth

In the wake of all the maligning of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints lately after the passing of Prop 8 in California it is nice to have some good news.

Thank you Ruth Youth!!

Change.gov is propaganda engine waiting to happen

I was a little interested when I found this site yesterday.  And while I haven't had a chance to really peruse it as much as I want to.  I have found a few sites of people that have.

Again Michelle Malkin knocks it out of the park in my opinion.

'By their fruits you shall know them.'  Propaganda the day after being elected?  Is it a sign of the tech times that we live in?  Or, is this more of a case of 'hiding in plain site'?

How Long Do We Have?

I was forwarded this email, and I've received it also a few years back. I was thinking about this cycle and why the Greeks failed in their democracy and then this was sent to me again. I agree that we as a people are definately complacent and even apathetic. We need to wake up and remember the great country in which we live, what made it great, and how to make it great again!

I love the US and everything that this country was founded on. Religion and freedom. God Bless the USA! And keep us safe please!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:
"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."

"From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years"

"During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage"

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Democrats: 19
Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000
Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Democrats: 13.2
Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country.
Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA.
Everyone needs to realize just how much is at stake, knowing that
apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

Charlie Brown loses Manager position

Sometimes this comic is more true than we like to admit.  Not just the recent presidential election but it happens all the time in business as well.

Sometimes its for good and sometimes for not so good.  Nothing frustrates me more than when a CEO gets fired because he can't do the job and then he walks away with a 'severance' package worth more than some countries national yearly income.

Change is coming, its inevitable.  It always comes.  I don't agree with everything that Obama has said and I still don't know that I trust him but I will support him as my new president and I am interested to see what will happen.  I wish him the best of luck and pray that God will guide and protect him.

New Blog I Follow

Michelle just seems to be on top of things and I like following her blog to see her opinion on things.

Gird your loins, conservatives

Needless to say I'm interested to see what's going to happen over the next little while.

Why the Bush hating bandwagon?

One thing about this whole election was the fact that everyone jumped on the 'Bush Hating Bandwagon' - even McCain.
I like this article

Bush wasn't the best President we've had but he's definitely not the worst.  Time will tell.

Speaking out against Obama

(I confirmed this on snopes.com before posting.)
Huntley Brown - is a fabulous concert pianist, man of God and is a black man. He shares his reasoning for not voting for Obama. I urge you to read this article and publish or spread out via Email to as many as possible.

Please pray and ask God for His Spirit to reveal the truth to the people of our nation, and to give all Christians the courage to see and believe the truth and vote for the candidate who also seeks God's truth and His will for our country.
LORD, please open our eyes to YOUR TRUTH!

Why I Can't Vote For Obama
By Huntley Brown

Dear Friends,
A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an email with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but it's worth repeating..

First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.
Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness.
I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms He does because He is the leader.

I can't vote black because I am black, I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second. Neither shoul d anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few, wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.

We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record.

His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the
US Senate in 2007.
NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008) <http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/>
To beat Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing.
Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.
There is a reason planned parenthood gives him a 100 % rating.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him.
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court.
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion.
There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.
Lets take a look at the practice he wanted to continue.

The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure
A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps.
(Remember this is a live baby)
B. The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
C. The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head.
D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.
God help him.

There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law.
Think about this: you can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.

There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.
Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright's sermons. I wonder why now?

Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matt hew 28:19 - 20 'Go and make disciples of all nations.' This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you, talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?

Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a:
1. Commitment to the White Community
2. Commitment to the White Family
3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community .
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.
Would you support a President who went to a church like that?
Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama's former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside.

This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can't be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.

A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if its a white church or a black church it's still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.

Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: 'Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.

Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?
So what does all this mean for the nation?

In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing - judgment.

Read 1 Samuel 8 when
Israel asked for a king.
First God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 'Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.'
Then God says
1 Samuel 1:18 ' When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.' 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. 'No!' they said. 'We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.' 21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, 'Listen to them and give them a king.'

Here is what we know for sure.
God is not schizophrenic
He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.

Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.

For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four supreme court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you. I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed
Sodom and Gomorrah for this. I know I can look the other way because of the economy.

I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.
Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation,
1. Whose value system should be placed on the nation.
2. Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

Blessings,
Huntley Brown

A concern to all of us should be that Obama has already declared this is not a Christian nation and he has done away with our flag as a symbol for this nation -- what else does he plan to change --------------

The Media: PR machine of Democratic Party?

I read this article and can help but agree.  He's not the same party as me, we don't agree on everything but I definitely agree with him on this.

Is Obama really a U.S. Citizen?

LAWSUIT ASKS IF OBAMA IS LEGAL CANDIDATE

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/06/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the attorney who filed suit against Sen. Barack H. Obama challenging Obama's lack of "qualifications" to serve as president of the United States, announced today that Obama and Democratic National Committee (DNC) filed a joint motion for protective prder to stay discovery pending a decision on the motion to dismiss which was filed on Sept. 24.

While legal, Berg stated he is "outraged as this is another attempt to hide the truth from the public; it is obvious that documents do not exist to prove that Obama is qualified to be President." The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Their joint motion indicates a concerted effort to avoid the truth by attempting to delay the judicial process, although legal, by not resolving the issue presented: that is, whether Obama meets the qualifications to be president.

It is obvious that Obama was born in Kenya and does not meet the "qualifications" to be president of the United States pursuant to our United States Constitution. Obama cannot produce a certified copy of his "vault" (original long version) birth certificate from Hawaii because it does not exist.

Furthermore, and actually more important is Obama's certificate of citizenship that he received when he returned from Indonesia, as if it exists it would indicate that Obama was "naturalized" and also not able to be president.

The DNC has promised "we the people" an open and honest Government and has promised to uphold our United States Constitution. The DNC has failed their promise. DNC Chairperson Howard Dean should resign as he has not and is not fulfilling his responsibility of seeing that a "qualified" candidate is on the ballot as the Democratic candidate for president of the United States.

Berg stated that a response in opposition will be filed in the next day or so to the defendants motion for a protective order.

The web site obamacrimes.com now has 21.7 plus million hits. It is urging all to spread the word of the website – and forward to your local newspapers and radio and TV stations.

Berg again stressed his position regarding the urgency of this case as, "we" the people, are heading to a "Constitutional Crisis" if this case is not resolved forthwith.

If he gets elected how can he take the oath of office to uphold and protect the Constitution? He obviously doesn't agree with it or follow it.

Has there been a single, credible news source discussing this? Even a right-leaning organization, such as Fox News? I've heard about this lawsuit on NPR, but as far as I can tell, everyone is treating it as some guy making a lot of noise about nothing. Where is this article from? Is it a self-reference from obamacrimes itself?

Shaun wrote
Yeah Loren, I was looking into it some more later and found this on snopes.com
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/citizen.asp
It is a real lawsuit but sadly there is not much support to it. I have heard about it a few times but I can't recall where.
I do find it hard to swallow the fact that Obama's qualifications aren't really investigated with some of the things he has said and the fact that the media is obviously in love with him is very disturbing.
I hate picking the better of two evils. If a 'no confidence' vote would actually mean anything then I would go that route, but sadly it's almost just throwing your vote away.

Loren wrote
Ok, so the Snopes page supports that Obama IS qualified to be prez. I guess the lawsuit is a little far-fetched. I don't love Obama, but I definitely think it will be good to allow someone a chance to actually change things in the US. With a unified exec/legislature, we can probably expect some of his vision to become reality. It couldn't be much worse than the stagnant in-fighting of the last 8 years.

Found this as well. Michael Savage interviews the guy who filed the lawsuit (former deputy attorney general of Penn):

read the court documents. judge was just trying to procedurally eliminate his first complaint and then regarding his ammended complaint told Berg he had no standing to file such a suit. The real story here is why doesn't obama just release his 'vital' birth certificate: The one initially made by the hospital where he was born in Hawaii. Instead Obama's website issues a Certificate of Live Birth (COLB). The document is a "certification of birth," also known as a short-form birth certificate. The long form is drawn up by the hospital and includes additional information such as birth weight and parents' hometowns. The short form is printed by the state and draws from a database with fewer details. There are allegations circulating that he could have obtained the short form when he was adopted by his step father in Hawaii, but I haven't had time to check that one out. Still researching.

sorry for commenting so much, i usually don't comment on anything i read on the internet but this just blew my mind.

Who is Obama?

When i first heard Obama speak I was very interested in him. He has an
amazing charisma and speaking ability (at least rehearsed). I was like,
if this guy is even half as good as he sounds he'll be amazing. I have
researched his policies (at least what he has outright said) and
listened to what he has said, and even even more to what he has not
said. He outright scares me as to what he is going to attempt to do as
the leader of the US.

I am appalled at the love affair that the media has with him and what they are willing to do/hide/say to support him.

Here is just one example, the LA times is suppressing a video that
allegedly has him toasting a known terrorist. This scares me that these
are the people he cohorts with.
http://trustbutverify.wordpress.com/2008/10/29/how-far-the-la-times-has-fallen/

http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/27/the-la-times-gives-readers-the-finger/

What i find VERY interesting is the number of Democrats that are
publicly announcing their support for Mccain/Palin because they are
afraid of what Obama will do if he's elected.
http://trustbutverify.wordpress.com/2008/10/29/is-pennsylvania-going-red/
even a former speech writer for Obama:
http://trustbutverify.wordpress.com/2008/10/29/more-gender-traitors-obama-speechwriter-voting-for-mccain/

I don't know if everyone is afraid of being politically correct and the
whole 'race card' that Obama is throwing around but the media and
people really pick a fight against Mccain/Palin even if there is no
real proof:
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/28/obama-cultists-cry-wolf-n-word-yelled-at-palin-rally-not/

Race and Gender are huge for this historic election but I can't get a
joke that Jay Leno (i think) said one night about Mccain's skin
cancer(?) --- "the first election with a black candidate and we're
talking about the white guy's skin".

People please be educated when you vote because the issues are being
danced around with no clear answers and no clear agenda. What will
Obama be held accountable for if he is elected? Where will he take the
nation? Change is coming, but at what costs?

Candidates on the Family

This was some very scary stuff. A few things on both sides but mostly
the fact that Obama doesn't support a parental notifcation law when a
minor goes in for an abortion.

This is the short edition:

the longer more details information:
